January 9, 2014 

            The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in special session January 9, 2014, in the Miner County Courthouse.  Members present:  Roger Wentland, Don Bowman and Voni Durant.  Absent:  Alex Protsch & Patrick Maroney.  Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Motion by Durant, seconded by Bowman and carried to approve the agenda.

            The board acknowledged the receipt of a resignation letter from Patrick Maroney.  It was moved by Durant, seconded by Bowman and carried to accept the resignation of commissioner Maroney.

            Commissioners discussed the process for appointing an individual to serve the remaining portion of Maroney’s term.    This appointment will end on January1, 2015.  It was moved by Durant, seconded by Bowman and carried to hold a special meeting on January 13, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. to make the appointment to fill the open seat on the commission.

            The meeting adjourned to January 13, 2014.  Dated this 9^th day of January 2014.
