                The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in regular session June 17, 2014, in the Miner County Courthouse.  Members present:  Roger Wentland, Garrett Gassman, Voni Durant, and Alex Protsch. Absent: Don Bowman.   Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Motion by Protsch, seconded by Durant and carried to approve the agenda.  The minutes of the June 5th meeting were approved with the correction Gassman voting aye on Resolution 14-13.

RESOLUTION 14-15

                WHEREAS, insufficient appropriation was made in the 2014 mental illness budget to discharge just obligation of said appropriation; and

                WHEREAS, SDCL 7-21-32.2 provides that transfers may be made by resolution of the board from the contingency appropriation established pursuant to SDCL 7-21-6.1 to other appropriations;

                THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the appropriation be transferred from contingency to Mental Illness $600.00.

Voting aye:  Protsch, Gassman, Durant and Wentland.  Voting nay:  none.  Resolution approved this 17th day of June 2014.

Commissioners reviewed the listing of Miner County Townships clerks’ and treasurers’ bonds.  Motion by Gassman, seconded by Durant and carried to approve the clerk & treasurer bonds.  Bonds are on file for public inspection within the auditor’s office. 

The board discussed the job description of the custodian’s duties.  No changes were made to the job description.  Motion by Durant, seconded by Protsch and carried to provide a $30 monthly cell phone reimbursement to the custodian.

Concerns as to access to the courthouse during the north parking lot construction were discussed.  Employees and the public will need to access the courthouse by utilizing the south doors during the parking lot construction.

Highway superintendent Ron Krempges reviewed mowing, graveling, signage project and conference attendance.
