Special Meeting

 

The Miner County Board of Commissioners met in special session December 12, 2018 in the Miner County Courthouse.  Members present:  Roger Wentland, Garrett Gassman, Voni Durant, Tom Reisch and Alex Protsch.  Absent:  none.  Chairman Wentland called the meeting to order.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Motion by Protsch, seconded by Durant and carried to approve the agenda.  Several Miner County employees were also present.

 

Miranda Donahue from The Insurance Store and Andy Carlson presented information & quotes for health insurance with Avera Health Plans and United Healthcare, Inc.

 

After reviewing the options for health care insurance it was moved by Gassman, seconded by Reisch and carried to offer the four United Healthcare Inc. plans for the 2019 coverage period.

 

Wentland reported on the progress in purchasing the Hegdahl property:  Lots Eight (8) to Twelve (12), both inclusive, in Block Three (3), Otter’s Second Addition to the City of Howard, Miner County, South Dakota; Lot Thirteen (13) of Block Three (3), Otter’s Second Addition to the City of Howard, Miner County, South Dakota; and Lot Fourteen (14), of Block Three (3) in Otter’s Second Addition to the City of Howard, Miner County, South Dakota.  This will be placed on the December 18^th meeting agenda.
